Early Life:

Bhakti Sundar Sanyasi Maharaj was born on 22^nd August, Saturday of 1959 ( 5^th Bhadra, Krishnapanchami Tithi, Rebati Nakshatra ), 9:00 pm at Dhuliapur village of East Midnapore as Pradip Maity. Mrityunjay Maity (Father) was an employee of the Indian Railway and a very kind-hearted person. His mother Srimati Pranatibala Devi alias Parul Devi was a housemaker woman.

Sanyasi Maharaj was the third child of his parents.  In his early days, he was a very intelligent and studious student of his school Dhuliyapur Pallishri High School. He was very much interested in sciences and was also very adorable to his neighbors for his devotion to the teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. But one thing was very much clear in him that is to stand beside the truth at any moment.

Beginning a quest for spiritual consciousness : 

His maternal family was Vaishnav by their religious beliefs and they were disciples of Srila Bhakisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad and Srila Bhaktikeval Oudolomi Goswami  Maharaj. This spiritual atmosphere influenced him and made him very much interested in Gaudiya Vaishnavism and religion too. He always helped others with his unconditional love. In 1972 he got the chance to meet Srila Guru Maharaj at Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Gaudiya Math of Godrumdham or Gadigacha Nadia. After that, He got Harinam from Srila Bhaktikeval Oudolomi Goswami  Maharaj on 29^th February 1972. He got initiation from Srila Bhaktikeval Oudolomi Goswami  Maharaj on 23^rd November 1976 and Srila Guru Maharaj named him Sripad Prahlad Das Brahmachari.

Receiving the monastic vows of Sanyasa :

Srila Guru Maharaj entered in Nityalila in 1982 and HDG Bhakti Srirup Bhagavat Goswami Maharaj . In 1985 he got his monastic vows or sannyasa from Srila Acharyapad when he was only 24 of his age.

Administrative Life & Present Life:

In 1996 he took the charge of Secretary of the Gaudiya Mission. He taught the Dashamula Siksha, Srishtilila, and Bhagavad classes to the inmates and the devotees of the mission. Arranged seminars and convocations in several centers for the spiritual upliftment of the devotees. He introduces the Bhagavad Saptaha to the devotees. He also started the long 12 days of Gour Janmotsov o Mela in Kolkata. He stood beside the Gaudiya Mission in many turmoil situations.

Gaudiya Mission President Acharya Om Vishnupad Paramahamsa 108 His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Sundar Sanyasi Goswami Maharaj appeared in 1959 in a devout Vaishnava family. Srila Gurudev mastered Vaishnava philosophy at a young age and got associated with the holy Gaudiya Mission when he was a teenager. He served the Gaudiya Mission as a General Secretary after 12 years of regulated spiritual pursuit in Varanasi and administered the mission for 25 years during 1995-2018. Sripad Maharaj is crowned as “Guru Goswami Thakur” in the Vaishnava confraternity.

Upholding a strict Brahmacharya and Sannyasa life, Sripad Maharaj’s undivided focus is serving Lord Krishna and he is devoted relentlessly to preaching the tenets of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu around the World. Since 1996, he has been traveling around the globe to the UK, Germany, Bangladesh, Canada, the USA, and South America, blessing countless souls to progress in the path of pure devotional service.

Since 2018, Srila Gurudev is the present President Acharya of the Gaudiya Mission in India and abroad. Sripad Maharaj is the sixth Acharya in the bonafide disciplic succession from Jagatguru Srimad Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad, the crown jewel of the Paramahansa in Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya and founder Acharya of Gaudiya Mission. Sripad Maharaj was initiated by Om Vishnupad Paramahamsa 108 Srimad Bhakti Keval Audulomi Maharaj, one of the eighteen great sannyasa disciples of Om Vishnupad Paramahamsa 108 Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad.

Several divine temples got rebuilt and built by the lotus hands of Sripad Maharaj worldwide in the USA, Mumbai, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Vrindavan, Radhakund, and Navadvip. He conceptualized and built the spectacular Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum, the first of its kind in the World for devotees to cherish the pastimes of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. He instituted the centenary celebrations of the Gaudiya Mission in 2016-2018 which was inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi. Srila Gurudev is now establishing the 150^th birth anniversary celebrations of Om Vishnupad Paramahamsa 108 Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad, the opening ceremony of which was held in Jagannath Puri, India last year, in 2022 in the presence of the then Honourable President of India, Sri Ramnath Kovind. This transcendental celebration will continue till 2025. The 150^th anniversary program is going to be held from August 31^st – September 8^th 2024 in London, the UK.
