150th Advent Commemoration of Srila Prabhupad

Introduction:

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad was the core center of Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradays after Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. It was the time when the stream of the Bhakti path or Vaishava cult sank under inappropriate spiritual practices, The truth seeker as well as devotees were been puzzled by the misguidance and influences of several cults, after the disappearance of Sri Mahaprabhu and Six Goswamis the ocean Vaishnava cult being just like a narrow stream. Then Srila Prabhupad appeared with His charismatic personality to reform the entire Gaudiya Sampradayas on 6th February 1874. To fulfill His lifelong wishes to preach the teachings and messages of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu globally, He founded Sri Gaudiya Math in 1918 ( Gaudiya Mission, After registration in 1940)

Gaudiya Mission preserved the authentic legacy of Bhakti Yoga as preached by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupad. From 2022 Gaudiya Mission started to commemorate the 150th Advent celebration till 2023 internationally. These three years long program will enlighten the mass through the teachings and glory of Srila Prabhupad.

• Inauguration Programme at Puri, Odisha:
  The inaugural function of this three years long grand celebration was organized at the birthplace of Srila Prabhupad in Puri, Odisha with great enthusiasm by Gaudiya Mission and the entire Vaishnava Community from 19th – 21st February 2022. Sri Ramnath Kovind, Former Hon’ble President of India graced the inaugural program of 2oth February along with other distinguished dignitaries. A grand Nagar Sankirtan marched through the coastal city and all sects of sampradayas were joined in it.

  

  

  

• Kurukshetra:
  The 2nd grand celebration of the 150th advent commemoration of Srila Prabhupad was held in Kurukshetra on 25-26th August 2022 Sri Manohar Lal Khattar Hon’ble C.M. of Kurukshetra, Sri Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon’ble Governor of Kurukshetra graced the program with other distinguished dignitaries. A theistic exhibition named ‘Sat-Siksha-Pradarshani’ has been arranged by the Gaudiya Mission.

  

  

  

• Uttar Pradesh:
  The 3rd grand celebration of the 150th advent commemoration of Srila Prabhupad was held at Agartala of Tripura, on 7th October of 2022, Sri Brajesh Pathak, Hon’ble C.M. of Prayagraj graced the program with other distinguished dignitaries.
• Agartala, Tripura:
  The 4th grand celebration of the 150th advent commemoration of Srila Prabhupad was held at  Agartala of Tripura, on   7th-8th December of 2022, Jishnu Debbarman, Deputy C.M. of Tripura, Sri Ramprasad Paul, Minister of Fire an Emergency Service of Tripura have graced the program with other distinguished dignitaries.
• Guwahati, Assam:
  The 4th  grand celebration of the 150th advent commemoration of Srila Prabhupad was held in Guwahati of Assam, on Sri Dr. Himant Biswa Sarma, Hon’ble  C.M. of Assam graced the program with other distinguished dignitaries.
• Patna:
  The 6th grand celebration of the 150th advent commemoration of Srila Prabhupad was held at Patna on 27th -28th May of 2023,  Sri  Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Hon’ble Governor of Bihar graced the program with other distinguished dignitaries.
• Gaura Mandal Parikrama:
  On the occasion of the 150th advent commemoration of Srila Prabhupad, Gaudiya Mission organized Gaud Mandal Parikrama to mark this grand event on 14th April 2022, 300 people assembled and marched the Gaud Mandal as they paid their homage to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupad.
• North India Parikrama:
  On the occasion of the 150th advent commemoration of Srila Prabhupad, Gaudiya Mission organized North India Parikrama to mark this grand event on 8th October 2022, 500 people assembled and marched North of India through Prayagraj, Varanasi, Jharkhand, Bihar as they paid their homage to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupad.
• South India Parikrama:
  On the occasion of the 150th advent commemoration of Srila Prabhupad, Gaudiya Mission organized South India Parikrama to mark this grand event on 20th March of 2022, 300 people assembled and marched South India through which places are hallowed by the footprints of Sri Mahaprabhu. The team marched through Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamilnadu as they paid their homage to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupad.
